Event Description
JMW Turner was known to his contemporaries as “painter of elements”. In his landscape paintings he created new, unusual combinations of earth, air, fire and water and closely examined the way these elements intinteracted.
This exhibition brings together around 95 works from Tate in London and other collections from Britain and the USA, illustrating the development of Turner’s landscape paintings over several decades.
