The Caledonian Society of Hamburg, similar to other such societies all over the world, was established by Scots for Scots who are resident abroad and who wish to uphold the Scottish traditions as well as to meet fellow Scots.
The Society celebrates St. Andrew, the Patron Saint of Scotland, with a St. Andrew’s Night Ceilidh in November/December. A Burns' Supper is held in January; During the winter months we arrange social evenings with Ceilidh dancing. Our Golf Section usually arranges two or more golf outings at different golf courses during the year and members play an annual tournament for the Caledonian Cup. We are also co-organiser of the Hamburg British Clubs Golf Trophy tournament.
We participate every year at the British Day weekend, helping to raising money for charity: maintaining the "Wellie Flingin" stand both days and also Ceilidh dancing on the Sunday afternoon - encouraging visitors to join in the fun.

We had a great time at the golf outing and were sorry that we couldn't stay to enjoy the social activities in the evening. Looking forward to the ceilidh dancing on Sunday at the British Day weekend - can only make the 3pm session on Sunday though. See you there!
Cheers
Cathy
