Dear Katherine
Just seen your entry on Britain in Hamburg. If you've recently arrived in Hamburg, you might find the Professional Women's Forum of interest to you - it's one of the entries under Brits in HH, as am I.
Our next monthly event will be on 25 February, and the details will go up shortly.
You can also see what we are all about on our website at www.Professional.womens-forum.de. Please get in touch if I can be of any assistance or give you more info.
Best wishes. Pat Pledger
We are having a quiet one this evening (well thats the plan at least!), so all good for Saturday.
How does 4pm at the Rathaus Xmas market sound? My mobile is 017635740588 easiest thing to do is finalise meeting point on the day so just ping me a text. I think you might have the pleasure of me, Nathan, Jason and Liam afterall!
Cool, I think Sat afternoon is going to be easier, will be me and Nathan (my boss) to start with and then Liam and Jason will join us a little later. All 4 of us at once is a bit too much for most people!!!
One of my colleagues was in Desy yesterday helping a couple of the guys there consolidate their finances. Its quite rewarding knowing you are helping people prepare for the future, especially as nearly all company pensions are either going broke or halving in size.
My clients are all English speaking, my German is terrible so there would be no way I could take on German clients.
Christmas markets are great, big fan of the one by the town hall. We were drinking gluhwein till quite late yesterday, my head is a little fuzzy this morning!
Does Mark work for Desy? Thats probably the only company I know here with scientists!
My position is permanent here, the company I work for deals in international savings and investments. If you can imagine your UK bank account gets you 0-1% interest, I can get you 10-12%. My clients use the companies services to plan for retirement, kids education etc. Its a great job as I have met people from all over the world and I got to move abroad.
If you are interestd in finding out a bit more drop me a line
I work in the finance industry for a global company based out of the UK.
Like you I've not really been out a great deal, my wife is coming out full time at the end of Jan, she's half German so will be out all the time with her.

Like the name! What's Mark doing out here?
Mark
I know how you feel, I just moved here from London on the 22nd November!
Did you move for work reasons like me?
Best of luck
Mark
