The Hamburg Players

Much Ado About Nothing - a great success!

Much Ado About Nothing, by William Shakespeare, directed by Carol McNamara, was a great delight and proved that a Shakespeare comedy isn't the hard fare that people imagine if it is approached in the light-hearted vein in which it was written. Audiences loved it, as was proven by our average sales of 84%, and our crowning glory was Jasper, a lovable, well-behaved English Springer Spanial and excellent acting dog! Wit, wickedness, song, dance and a happy end - what more could you want!

Thanks, Gwen! We started work on it this week - and we are going to have a gorgeous, plush set this time. I have a role, too - Rosalie Otterbourne. Will post on progress! See you soon - at the ceilidh, perhaps? Cheers, Cathy

I couldn't agree more - the play, acting and doggie were super! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Am now looking forward to Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Nile" in June.
