Britain in Hamburg

Wow....I did it and it was amazing! The prep work was hard and a little trying at times (try making all these gift baskets with a 3 year old running around pulling stuff out and playing with the ribbons..LOL). I met some really nice people and everyone was so friendly and supportive. This is the type of connection I have been missing since moving here almost 2 1/2 years ago. There was nothing but positive energy flowing and it really put me in the spirit of Christmas. But you know what was equally important to me... it was my partner telling me "baby, I´m proud of you. You did it by yourself and spoke German"! Basically she was telling me that I´ve grown, I don't need her to hold my hand anymore as I discover Germany and it´s people. That made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Of course, I could not have done it without her. She was the one staying up with me until 2 in the morning making the baskets, and schlepping them in and out. She gave me the support and confidence to make it happy...so, THANK YOU DARLIN! Can´t wait until next year...until then, stop by and see me, my door is always open and you might even get a big ole HUGG!
